Agonizing over which photos get entered into the Roller Derby Photo Contest

It's the time of the month to agonize over which photos get entered into the Roller Derby Photo Contest.    I'm trying to take my own snarky advice to the newcomers in the f2.8-fast glass around the fast track fb group.  That is... "don't worry too much about technical perfection."  (yeah, I know what you're thinking, "hah! you should have no trouble with that, nocklebeast!" (worrying about technical perfection, not having technical perfection.))

The digital negative is a little thin.  Lens flare.  The focus is a little soft (oh, yeah? you try shooting furiously dancing roller girls with a manual focus lens at f1.2!).  But, still! Roller girls! Dancing! Tom Jones!

you'd think the lesson would be, "just submit all photos of Demanda Riot."  But, I'm not sure if these will make the team either.
