Santa Cruz Boardwalk Bombshells vs Slaughter County Roller Vixens

This was a WFTDA sanctioned bout between the Santa Cruz Boardwalk Bombshells and the Slaughter Country Roller Vixens (Q2 rankings in the west... rank 16 vs rank 13 respectively if I remember correctly).

This was a really good bout.  The bout was closed the the public because the venue (a Westside Santa Cruz warehouse) doesn't have room for audience seating... although it does have room for a regulation-sized track (unlike the track at the Santa Cruz Civic).

Slaughter County played and beat Silicon Valley the night before by a convincing 70 or 80 points.

Santa Cruz held the lead for the entire first half.   Even when Onda Sligh (#66) scored 30+ point jams in the second half, Santa Cruz fought back, at times the point spread was only 1 or 4 points at the end of the jams 15 minutes into the second half.    In the end Slaughter County came out ahead, 151 to 125.

Oh, and Slaughter County was treated to what defense means in Santa Cruz (you're gonna leave here black and blue)
